Course Description

This course is required by the local Board of Education.  It is the second semester of the year long class dealing with computers, software, and purpose in the business world.  During this course students will learn the operations of the computer, advanced properties of PowerPoint, Formulas in Excel, Graphing in Excel, Database management in Access, Future Business Leaders of America, and important business Work Ethics. As a way to prepare for the new GPS (GA Performance Standards) the student will also read and preapre a book report presentation. September & October Assignments

9/1/2009-9/11/2009: Students will completely finish their Microtype Tying Program.
9/14/2009-9/26/2009: Student will learn what it takes to live in a Technology-Based Society. They will learn how the computer works, the lega, social, and ethical rules with technology, the histroy of technology, and much more.
9/28/2009-10/16/2009: Students will learn about industry appropriate documents.  They will learn how to format, create, and utilize the following: letters, memos, e-mail, unbound reports, tables, newsletters, etc.
