Wendy's Heisman Scholarship:  For the past fifteen years, Wendy's Restaurants have teamed up with the Heisman Memorial Trophy Committee to create the Wendy's High School Heisman Award. The award honors both male and female high school students who excel in academics, athletics and student leadership.

AES Engineers Scholarship: AES Engineering is pleased to be able to continue offering scholarships to motivated students to help in the furthering of their education.

Burger King Scholarship: The BURGER KING Scholars Program was established in 2000 in memory of BURGER KING founder James W. McLamore. The BURGER KING Scholars Program focuses on providing scholarship awards to assist students who excel academically while also working part-time and being actively involved in their community.

Earning Plus Learning for High School Seniors  
Seniors must meet the following requirements:
• Graduating high school senior
• GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4-point unweighted scale (or equivalent on another scale)
• U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident of the United States
• Pursuing continued education from an accredited two or four year college, university, technical or trade school
• Must have taken the SAT or ACT
• Must provide a sealed transcript submitted with application
• Include a submission of creative expression of the 2009-2010 theme “Active! Mind. Body. Community.”

College Fair

THE NACAC COLLEGE FAIR IS SUNDAY, JANUARY 24TH FROM 12-4:00 AT THE GA. INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTER LOCATED NEXT TO THE ATLANTA AIRPORT.  THERE WILL BE OVER 200 COLLEGES THERE AND ALL THE GA. COLLEGES WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE.  ALSO, THERE WILL BE WORKSHOPS ON FINANCIAL AID, HOW TO SEARCH FOR SCHOLARSHIPS, HOW TO NAVIGATE ADMISSION PROCESS, ETC.

9/30/2009 Meeting

he following information was handed out during homeroom on 9/29/2009.  Students will be participating in the Ga Work Ready Assessment on 9/30/2009 right after homeroom.  This will allow students to receive a Work Ready Certificate that can be shown to future employees with the work skills that your student already has.

Also, for those who have not taken the SAT yet or who would like to improve their scores, may attend the SAT Boot Camp.

SAT INFORMATION

This is the website that your child can go to and practice taking the SAT.
